We need a Web Developer

We are searching for a developer to join and expand our development team.
If you have an excellent working knowledge of building CMS driven websites using WordPress we want to hear from you.

The successful candidate will:

• Have proven experience in developing and building web sites 
• WordPress commercial experience (min 18 months)
• A working knowledge of Drupal or ability to pick-up the basics would be an advantage

• Experience using Front-end frameworks such as Foundation and Bootstrap
• Source control Git via GitHub/BitBucket
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks and libraries (jQuery etc.).
• Strong understanding of Responsive Web Design principles and best practice
• Developing with cross browser/device support in mind

We are a small passionate team so your duties may not just be restricted to development. You may be expected to handle the full stack of development (front end, backend, deployment) on smaller web projects such as WordPress builds. We really encourage you to take ownership of a project from day one so you can take pride in your work and give 100% towards its development and completion.

Parent is a brand and digital design agency looking to build our team with the addition of a Project Manager.

You’ll be responsible for the successful delivery of both client and internal design projects ranging from brand identity design to online stores, advertising print campaigns through to commercial interior design. Ensuring that multiple projects are delivered on time, on budget and on brief, you’ll be a vital linchpin in the creative process helping ensure a collaborative approach achieves our client’s objectives.

You’ll be a strong, confident and proactive communicator that’s not afraid of the phone. You’ll need excellent communication skills to successfully manage client expectations and deliver ground breaking and exciting creative projects with a fun and friendly approach.

You should have a good understanding of creative delivery and the processes required to deliver websites, brand identities and our other services.

This is a client-facing role, so you should be a confident, passionate and enthusiastic person, happy to take ownership of the projects your run and confident in delivering projects ranging from print ads through to complex websites and applications.

You’ll need;

•   Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of client needs and objectives and communicate this to team members including designers and developers.
•   Good, commercial judgement regarding estimating, costing, measuring and reporting on the financial details of a project with an overall awareness of how these activities impact Parent’s overall business objectives and profitability
•   Provide a solid sense of leadership, confidence, and dependability
•   Be an effective conduit between our creative studio, development team and our clients
•   Be a core part of our client management team working closely with the creative director and business owner
•   An enthusiastic, energetic and imaginative personality that’s approachable, outgoing and diplomatic where required
•   Have the ability to get the best out of people, both colleagues and clients
•   Demonstrate a thorough understanding of our services and how they deliver value to clients
•   Have a commercial understanding of budgets and their implications to both our business and the client’s

•   Experience as a project manager within a fast paced agency with clients of varying sizes.
•   Ability to understand our client’s objectives and effectively QA and test projects prior to delivery to ensure a high quality output
•   Ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality
•   Build long term quality relationships with our clients
•   Interpret client briefs into clear deliverables and objectives to help brief the creative and technical teams
