Book Cover Concept & Design
Overview
At least once in any design career you’ll find both you and the client have a ridiculous idea, one so nuts that nobody in their right mind would agree to it and despite that, you do!
Consider this such a project. When faced with designing a book cover for Crowdwish creator, wish maestro and all round dude Bill Griffin’s new book ‘The Wish‘ we were met with the subtitle ‘The 99 things we think we want most’, and said ridiculous idea was born!.. 99 wishes… 99 book covers. Yes, 99 book cover designs. Working closely with the author and the publishing and creative teams at ‘Constable’ and ‘Little, Brown Book Group’ we created 99 different book cover designs that were printed on the latest digital presses. The covers range from the minimal to the obscure, there’s word searches, morse code, sketchy, binary, graffiti and all sorts. We had fun and so did the client. You can buy the book here.
We also worked on a bunch of guerilla marketing ideas too that never saw the light of day.
