Voted Surrey’s best independent estate agency in 2013, Curchods operates at the premium end of Surrey’s property market with 18 offices across two brands, Curchods and Burns & Webber.
Curchods approached Parent in late 2013 to provide an updated property search and company information site for both brands.
We designed and developed a sophisticated search site that takes a property feed from their Aspasia database into a fully responsive site.
With property search being the primary reason for site visits, the site retains a constant search panel at the foot of the browser wherever you are on the site.
A fully responsive design and build was undertaken to ensure a consistent and coherent interface regardless of device, creating a familiar user-friendly site for all visitors across mobile, tablet and desktop. Parisienne based illustrator Tom Haugomat was commissioned to provide a unique set of illustrations and iconography for use across the site and in future printed campaigns.
A significant first in property search sites is the ability to draw multiple search areas on a map returning one set of results. Perfect for users wanting search and exclude several areas and saving users valuable time.
Search results can be viewed in a range of ways depending on user preference. A dynamic user preference concept was integrated to ensure users are displayed relevant property and offers at all times based on previous search behaviour. Working across two distinct brands meant re-skinning the site to work across both brand identities.
